To the mothers,
Motherhood has a way of sharpening your instincts.
There's even a word for it now - matrescence. The transformation a woman undergoes when she becomes a mother. Not just emotionally, but physically, neurologically, at her very core.
You begin to look more closely at what you bring into your home, what you put on their skin, what you choose to trust.
When my oldest daughter was born, I felt that shift immediately.
What once felt acceptable no longer did. I found myself questioning everything, especially the products I was told were "safe."
That quiet discomfort became a turning point.
It led me back to something simpler. To ingredients I could understand. To practices rooted in care, not convenience.
What began as a search for my daughter became something much larger - a way of living, and eventually, what is now My Neighbor's.
But at its core, it's still the same:
A desire to do better for the people we love.
To trust our instincts. To choose thoughtfully. To care more deeply.
To all the mothers, and those who care like mothers: I see you, and the intention behind everything you do.
With care,
Harri
